How Shall We Live is an interactive visual novel game that explores philosophical themes through dialogue. The player finds themselves in a mysterious library where they meet various characters and engage in conversation with them. Throughout the game, they search for the answers to questions about life's purpose and meaning, prompting them to embark on a self-reflective journey and to consider for themselves:
Why do I believe what I believe, and how does that impact how I live my life today?
If you look at our world today, there are many people who are lost. We see ourselves as victims of our circumstances, we're overwhelmed by the day-to-day grind, and if we're honest with ourselves, we've grown numb to the fact that we wish life could be better. We've accepted that this is just the way things are - what's life without a couple of ups and downs, right?
Without any definite sense of purpose or meaning, we've seemed to have lost hope. There's never any certainty to life, only a groundless optimism that keeps us going. "Everything will be fine." "It will all work out somehow." We're afraid to face the unknown, so we would rather not know anything. Yet the same worries and fears assail us every day, and we keep on living.

Where does true hope come from?
Although many may say that we can never know whether purpose, meaning, or hope exist, I believe that we CAN have true purpose, meaning and hope - and that is what I want to impart to players through this game. You can find the answers, but only if you are genuine in your search for truth. The choice is yours to make: how shall you live?
